Restorative Justice and Prison Ministry, Day of Learning

Have you ever pondered when Jesus said, “I was in prison and you visited me…,” might I have the courage and a way to do that?Have you had an interest in, or passion for, restorative justice? Or, are you looking for ways to reach those in prison in a substantial and meaningful way?  Please join us for the Restorative Justice and Prison Ministry workshop.  This timely Day of Learning is on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 9 AM-3 PM at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh.

Noted New Testament Professor Douglas Campbell will share about restorative justice in the morning. Rev. Mark Hicks, with decades of prison ministry experience, will unpack the basics of building a ministry with leaders from your church and community.

The event will include presentations by former inmate participants and volunteers. You will also hear from active statewide and local prison ministry organizations and learn about ways you can get involved in existing organizations.
